Who/What is PSDAYZ?

We are a group of 4 and occasionally 5 coworkers that play in the office during down times, some weeks downtime is 30 hours sometimes it's 5 minutes and a few of us found DayZ to be a relaxing filler for the weeks that work isn’t as busy. Our hours in game range from under 500 to almost 4k, two of us also play at home and on PC and have been long term members and builders of multiple communities over the years. It was the collapse of one such major community that made us decide to start a server of our own in our own ideal play-style. We stayed a closed/invite-only unnamed server for a good while but got lots of interest when we would speak of the server style online so we decided December of 2025 to have the server be public. Kinda... we don’t really advertise and will end up adding a whitelist if we grow too big and cant casually maintain the server as we like. We really aren't trying to have a massive player base though, we prefer quality over quantity, and stories over stats. We are all yet to join a discord of any kind and there not be drama or added stress of grown adults acting like 12 yr olds in them, so we don’t have one. Our jobs also include working with discord and other social sites A LOT, so it's not a break for us, it's just working and not getting paid for it.

More to come if/when we each decide what we want to say about ourselves. We are pretty chill and just like to play our way, so we pay to rent a server that we can play OUR way on it. We welcome anyone who likes to role play like we do.
